thirds.ai limits
- It doesn't import a PDF as a page background or detect fillable PDF fields.
- It doesn't offer e-signatures, merge, split, or watermark operations.
- It doesn't provide an editor that another product can embed.
- It doesn't offer Zapier, Make, n8n, Airtable, Bubble, or HubSpot links.
- It doesn't send finished files to your own storage. Files stay in your account for 30 days, and each download link works for 15 minutes.
CraftMyPDF limits we found
- It does not show a raw HTML document input for generation in the pages we read (our reading).
- It does not show a source-image import that rebuilds a picture as an editable branded template (our reading).
- It does not show one saved brand kit for logos, colours, and fonts across templates (our reading).
- It does not show a product MCP server in the docs we read (our reading).
- Lite allows six templates. Teams, customer storage, and PDF passwords start on the $99 Professional plan (vendor claim).
- Template history keeps only the 20 most recent versions unless you mark a version to retain (vendor claim).
Pricing
How we compared prices
- We checked both pricing pages on 12 September 2026. Prices can change, so check the CraftMyPDF pricing page and our pricing page before you decide.
- One thirds.ai credit makes one PDF of up to 100 pages, or one image. The AI uses credits too. It costs 50 to build a new design or rebuild one from a picture, and 25 for a later AI edit. A file that fails costs nothing. See credits and billing.
- CraftMyPDF says one generated PDF uses one credit regardless of page count. Its pricing table groups PDFs and images under the same monthly file allowance (vendor claim). E-signatures use 10 credits; watermarks and other PDF operations use half a credit each.
- Both have a $29 monthly plan. CraftMyPDF Lite includes 1,200 files and six templates, and thirds.ai Starter includes 2,500 credits. The editor, PDF tools, AI costs, and app links differ, so don't choose on file count alone.
- CraftMyPDF gives 50 files each month. thirds.ai gives 50 credits each month. Free credits don't pay for AI, so an AI build needs trial credits, a credit pack, or a paid plan.
Switching
Moving from CraftMyPDF
Start with one template and the exact JSON row that fills it. CraftMyPDF expressions often read values such as {{ data.invoice_number }}. A thirds.ai template receives keys directly, such as {{ invoice_number }}, and can check them against a JSON Schema. Move calculations to your source system where practical, then compare totals and dates before you send a real file.
CraftMyPDF component layouts do not move as HTML. Rebuild a multi-page design in the template editor, or export a single-page design as a PNG and use Image to template to make an editable draft. If you use an embedded editor or a PDF operation today, keep that step until you have a supported replacement. Then switch generation to /v1/pdf, save the job ID, and use the webhook guide for completion.
