Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and the individual sole trader who runs thirds.ai from England. The operator uses thirds.ai as a trading name. In these terms, “thirds.ai” means that operator and the service. We keep the terms short and in plain words, because you should be able to understand what you agree to. The Acceptable use policy is part of these terms. The Privacy policy and the Cookie notice explain what we store about you.

The service

thirds.ai turns words, HTML, and images into branded PDF documents and static images through the website, the API, and MCP. The pricing page shows the current plans, credit packs, and prices.

Your account

You sign in with an email link, GitHub, or Google. Keep your API keys secret: work done with your keys counts as your work. Tell us at support@thirds.ai if you think a key has leaked, and revoke it in your account.

Credits, plans, and refunds

Renders and AI work spend your available credits. A render or an AI build that fails does not spend your credits. The Refunds and cancellation page holds the rules for the free plan, the trial, cancellation, credit packs, and refunds.

Your content and your rights promise

The content you send and the files we make from it are yours. You give us permission to process and store them only to provide the service.

You promise that you own, or hold the rights to use, every source image, logo, font, HTML file, brand asset, and other content that you upload. You also promise that the templates and files you make with thirds.ai do not break the rights of anyone else, such as copyright, trademark, or privacy rights. When you import a source image, thirds.ai replaces the source brand with your brand kit and records where the template came from. This does not change your promise: you are responsible for the rights to the source.

Claims about your content

If someone makes a claim against thirds.ai because of content that you upload or make with the service, you cover that claim. This means you pay the costs, damages, and reasonable legal fees that come from it. We tell you about the claim and let you take part in the response.

Fair use

The Acceptable use policy lists what you cannot do with thirds.ai. In short: do not make fake or misleading documents, do not send malware, do not use content that you have no right to use, and do not try to break the limits or the isolation of the service.

Report a problem

To report abuse, a rights problem, or content that breaks these terms, write to us through Support. We can remove content and suspend accounts after a valid notice.

Storage

We keep a finished PDF or image until its retention period ends and then delete it. On a paid plan (Starter, Growth, or Scale), the longest period is 365 days. On the free plan, with credit packs only, or during the $1 Starter trial, the longest period is 30 days. A new file gets the longest period for your plan unless you choose a shorter one for your account or for that file.

If your paid plan ends, or your account moves to the free plan or to credit packs only, we shorten any period that has more than 30 days left so that it ends 30 days from that day, and we email you once. When you move to a paid plan, we extend each file that doesn't have its own period to your account's period on that plan, counted from the day the file was made. A file you chose a period for keeps that period. You can delete a file sooner at any time. We keep your template chats until you delete your account. thirds.ai is not an archive: keep your own copy of files that matter to you.

What we promise

We work to keep the service fast and available, but we provide it without a warranty. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes a right the law does not let us remove.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using thirds.ai and close your account at any time from the account closure page. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the Acceptable use policy.

Changes and law

When these terms change, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top. These terms follow the law of England and Wales.
