It takes a couple of minutes. You need a thirds.ai account, a key from it, and Kimi Code on your computer. Kimi Code reads the key from an environment variable, so you never paste it into a prompt or commit it.

On your thirds.ai API keys page, click Create a key, then Create key, and copy the key.

Set THIRDS_API_KEY in the terminal that starts Kimi Code, then add the entry shown here to ~/.kimi-code/mcp.json, or run /mcp-config inside Kimi Code to add it step by step.

Start a new Kimi Code session, run /mcp to see thirds connected, and ask Kimi Code to list your designs. When it asks, choose Approve for this session, so it can make several files in a row.
Not on its own. You can paste an image or a video into Kimi Code and it reads it, but it has no tool that makes an image. We checked Moonshot's Kimi Code docs on 8 October 2026. Connect thirds.ai, and Kimi Code fills a designer-made template in your brand and hands you a finished PNG or PDF.
Does this work in the Kimi chat app?
This guide covers Kimi Code, the coding tool that runs in your terminal. The Kimi chat app on the web and on your phone is a different product, and we haven't written a guide for it.
Can Kimi Code build the design too?
Yes. Ask it for a template for the thing you need, such as a label for your coffee bags, and it builds one with thirds.ai in your brand. Once you save it, every file you ask for after that starts from it. Building a design with AI spends credits, so ask Kimi Code to show you the cost before it starts.
Can I make a certificate for each name?
Yes. Give Kimi Code the list of names and the course details, and ask it to reuse your saved certificate design. You get one PDF for each name, and each finished PDF costs one credit. Your plan sets how many names fit in one batch, from 10 to 200.
Does connecting Kimi Code spend credits?
No. Connecting Kimi Code and listing your designs is free. You only spend a credit when a file finishes, and a failed file costs nothing.
Can I try it for free?
Yes. Once you verify your email, a free thirds.ai account gets 50 credits a month, and you don't need a card. One finished image or PDF costs one credit, so you can make up to 50 files from Kimi Code before you pay.
On its own, Kimi draws something new every time, so your logo, colours, and layout shift from one file to the next. Pick a designer-made template, add your logo and colours once, then ask Kimi for the next file, and it builds it from that same design, so every file looks premium.
