The small cookies thirds.ai sets, what each one does, when each one ends, and how to change your cookie choice or block cookies in your browser.

We always set two small cookies of our own, even if you click Decline in the cookie banner. If you click Accept, we also use cookies for our product analytics.
The cookies we set

During a GitHub or Google sign-in, a short cookie named __Host-thirds_auth_flow protects that one sign-in, and it ends when the sign-in finishes.
The visit cookie is ours alone, and no other company gets it. Our server uses it to send PostHog counts, such as the page group, the campaign tags in your link, and steps like signing up or making your first file. Each count carries a random ID, never the cookie itself.
Your browser also keeps your cookie choice in local storage under thirds.consent, so the banner doesn't ask you again.
Analytics cookies, only if you click Accept
After you click Accept, PostHog keeps a cookie and a matching browser storage item whose names start with ph_. They hold a random ID, so PostHog can tell your visits apart and link each recording of your visit. PostHog stores this data in the EU. Before you choose, and after you click Decline, PostHog counts page views and clicks without any cookie or browser storage, and it doesn't record your visit. Each count carries the same random ID that our server uses, so we can link your visits. The Privacy policy explains what PostHog records and what recordings hide.
Change your choice
Click Cookie settings at the foot of any page, or in the account menu in the studio. Your new choice works at once. We set no advertising cookies.
How to block cookies
Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies for thirds.ai. If you block the session cookie, you cannot stay signed in. If you block the visit cookie, we can't count your visits or link your first visit to your account, and the rest of the service still works.
