thirds.ai and Adkit
Adkit is an ads toolbox that finds competitor ads, clones them with your brand, and helps you run campaigns with an AI agent. thirds.ai turns words, your own HTML, or a source image into an editable branded template, then renders that template as a PDF or a static image through the web app, the API, or MCP. This page helps you choose between the two when you want editable static ad creatives, and it explains which parts of the Adkit workflow thirds.ai does not cover. thirds.ai is not affiliated with Adkit, and Adkit is a trademark of its owner.

The short answer
If you want to research what other brands run, clone those ads in a few clicks, and get alerts when a competitor launches something new, Adkit is built for that job, and thirds.ai does not do any of it. thirds.ai fits better when you already have a creative you own or have licensed and want to rebuild it as an editable template, apply your brand kit, and render many sizes and versions through a visual editor or an API. The two tools can sit side by side, because one finds ideas and the other turns your own creative into a repeatable template.
Side by side
| What you need | thirds.ai | Adkit |
|---|---|---|
| Inputs | Words in an AI chat, your own HTML with template data, or a source image you own or have licensed that becomes an editable template. | Ads from its ad library, any image captured with its Chrome extension, or a prompt plus your website and brand details (vendor claim). |
| Outputs | PDF, PNG, JPEG, and WebP at the size you set. | Static ads and carousel ads that you can resize to 1:1, 16:9, and 9:16 and export (vendor claim). The pages we read do not name the file format (our reading). |
| Template editing | A visual editor and an AI chat that share one working template, with immutable saved versions. | AI editing after a clone or a generation, where you "edit text, swap elements, and iterate with AI" (vendor claim). We could not confirm a layered editable template from the pages (our reading). |
| Brand kits | Saved logos, colours, and fonts that the editor and the AI apply to each template. | A brand kit that the AI uses to create and clone ads (vendor claim). |
| API and MCP | A REST API at /v1/image, /v1/pdf, and /v1/templates, plus an MCP server for AI agents. | An MCP server that lets an agent research, draft campaigns, and generate creatives (vendor claim). We found no public REST API on the pages we read (our reading). |
| Ad discovery | Not a feature. | An ad library of 500k+ ads, competitor tracking, a swipe file, and weekly digests (vendor claim). |
| Pricing model | One credit per successful PDF or image. Starter is $29 a month for 5,000 credits. Extra credits cost $0.008 each on a paid plan. | Flat plans at $29 a month for one project and $49 a month for unlimited projects, and you bring your own OpenAI or Gemini key for AI cost from about $0.05 per ad (vendor claim, seen 6 September 2026). |
| Free tier | 25 credits a month with a verified account, no card needed, and every feature included. | A 7-day free trial with a card that is not charged until the trial ends (vendor claim, seen 6 September 2026). We did not see a free plan (our reading). |
| Where it fits | Teams that own a creative and want an editable branded template with many sizes and versions, plus an API and a visual editor (our reading). | Marketers who want research, cloning, and campaign help in one place with an AI agent (our reading). |
What thirds.ai does not do
- It does not find, browse, or track competitor ads. Ad discovery is not a thirds.ai feature.
- It does not capture images from other websites with a browser extension. Browser capture is not a thirds.ai feature.
- It does not draft, launch, or manage ad campaigns on Meta, Google, or any other platform. Campaign management is not a thirds.ai feature.
- It does not send alerts or weekly digests about other brands. Alerts are not a thirds.ai feature.
- It does not accept a source image that you do not have the rights to use. Our terms of service ask you to warrant the rights to every source image.
What Adkit does not do
- It does not accept HTML as an input on the pages we read (our reading).
- It does not make PDFs on the pages we read (our reading).
- It does not show a public REST API for rendering, so automation runs through its MCP server and agent connectors (our reading).
- It does not run its AI on its own key. You bring an OpenAI or Gemini key and pay that provider for each ad (vendor claim).
Pricing assumptions
- We read the Adkit pricing page on 6 September 2026. Its comparison table lists $29 a month and $49 a month billed monthly, and its plan cards also show a second pair of prices with a yearly toggle that we could not confirm from the page text. Check the Adkit pricing page and our pricing page before you decide.
- One thirds.ai credit is one successful PDF of up to 100 pages or one successful image. Failed renders cost nothing. See credits and billing.
- Adkit does not sell credits. Its AI cost depends on the OpenAI or Gemini key you bring, so the total price per ad depends on that provider (vendor claim).
- thirds.ai includes AI cost in its credits. A new AI template build costs 50 credits and each export costs one credit. See credits and billing.
Moving from Adkit
The workflows differ, so there is no field-by-field mapping. In Adkit you pick an ad from the library or capture an image, and the AI clones it with your brand. In thirds.ai you upload a creative you own or have licensed, and the AI rebuilds it as an editable template with named fields for the headline, the offer, and the product image. You then change those fields in the editor or send them as data to POST /v1/image and get a PNG, JPEG, or WebP at the size you set.
Start with image to template to see how the rebuild works. Then read the static ads use case for a worked example with several sizes from one template. Keep your Adkit research and swipe file where they are, because thirds.ai does not replace them.
