On its own, OpenCode can write you a script that draws a PDF, but you still have to lay the page out, and you get default fonts with none of your brand. With thirds.ai, OpenCode starts from a designer-made template with your logo, colours, and fonts, from our gallery or one it builds with you. Then it fills in the client, the line items, or the month's figures, checks them with you, and hands you a file you can send.

Add thirds.ai to OpenCode as an MCP server, then ask OpenCode for invoices from your saved design. In this example, OpenCode checks the totals and makes a branded PDF invoice for one client, then one for each of four more clients from a notes file.

It takes a couple of minutes. You add thirds.ai to your opencode.json as a remote server with a key from your thirds.ai account, and turn OAuth off so OpenCode sends the key. The key lives in an environment variable, so it never lands in the file or your repo. If you'd rather skip the key, the guide shows how to sign in on a thirds.ai page instead.

An OpenCode MCP server is a server you add to OpenCode to give it new tools. The thirds.ai server gives OpenCode the tools to build a design with you, set up your brand from your logo and colours, and make finished PDFs and images in that brand, so you ask for the file in plain words and get it back in your terminal.
How much does it cost to make a file?
Each finished PDF or image costs one credit, and a file that fails costs nothing. A verified free account gets 50 credits a month, and you don't need a card. Connecting OpenCode and listing the thirds.ai tools don't spend credits. AI help with building a design costs credits too, so ask OpenCode to show you the cost before it starts.
Can I share the connection with my team?
Yes. Put the entry in opencode.json in the project root and commit it. The file holds only {env:THIRDS_API_KEY}, never the key itself, so each person sets their own key in their environment. OpenCode's config guide says a project file wins over your global one when both set the same key (checked 8 October 2026).
Why does the guide disable OAuth?
OpenCode tries an OAuth sign-in for a remote server unless you turn it off, so setting oauth to false makes it send your key in the bearer header instead. If you'd rather skip the key, leave OAuth on, sign in on the thirds.ai page that opens, and click Allow. That connection gets every tool except the two AI image tools, which need a key.
Can I make an invoice for every client at once?
Yes. Point OpenCode at your list, and it makes one for each client in one go, each in your brand. Ask it to show you the number of files and the cost before it starts.
On its own, OpenCode draws something new every time, so your logo, colours, and layout shift from one file to the next. Pick a designer-made template, add your logo and colours once, then ask OpenCode for the next file, and it builds it from that same design, so every file looks premium.
